Playa del Carmen is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Caribbean. The city is relatively young and quite small, but very close to Cancun airport which is easily accessible by bus.

You can try an endless number of water sports: kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and you can also visit the coral reef, which is the second largest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Experience a fantastic voyage to the bottom of the sea where you will see the multi-colored tropical fish and marine turtles.
The state of Quintana Roo relies on its nature reserves which protect its wealth of flora and fauna. Visit the Xel-Ha parks which are home to the most spectacular natural aquariums in the Mayan Riviera; or Xcaret Park, a definite must-see!
