The School
Our partner school in Flamingo Beach is a magnificent building with 25 classrooms, fully equipped and located on the waterfront, facing the marina, at the entrance of the town.
The school has a garden area, a kitchen, video room, common area, a pool with a patio, and a library.
Spanish Courses in Flamingo Beach
- Intensive group course: 20 group classes per week
- One on One course: 20 classes per week
- Volunteer program: a minimum of 4-week Spanish course is required to be eligible for the volunteer program.
Timetable
Classes are held from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm with a 20-minute coffee break at 10:00am.
Teachers
All teachers are university graduates well trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. They are here to help you excel as much as possible.
Accommodation
In order to help you improve your Spanish speaking skills and your knowledge of the culture we offer you a home stay in a single room with half board.
Activities and Excursions
The school organizes excursions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. Cultural activities take place in the library 2-3 times per week, and once a month they celebrate a "cultural week" with special events.
The most common activities are:
- Latin Dance classes ( salsa, merengue and cumbia)
- Trips to local beaches such as Conchal and Tamarindo
- Literature or handicrafts workshops
- Sunset Cruise
- Horseback riding
- Kayak/snorkelling tou
- Visit to Monkey Park
- Visit to the Arenal Volcano
- Visit to Motezuma Beach
- Visit to Rincón de la Vieja Volcano
- Visit to Manuel Antonio National Park
Our Opinion
Although Playa Flamingo is a small town, it's impossible to get bored here! A paradise of lush vegetation and crystal clear waters, Flamingo Beach is the perfect place for students to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation while perfecting their Spanish.
