Teachers

Our partner school in Coronado is an associated centre of Spain's Instituto Cervantes, with a highly experienced and rigorously qualified teaching staff specially trained in the teaching of Spanish to foreigners, and technology assisted education. The programme is founded on the Common European Framework (levels A1 -C2), as are the courses at our own don Quijote schools.

To help you improve your Spanish speaking skills and your knowledge of the culture, our partner school offers you the following options.

  • Home stay with a local family in a single or double room with half board.
  • Upgraded home stay with private bath, no meals.
  • Private apartments with no meal plan.
Activities and Excursions

The school organizes free time activities for students during the week.

  • Hikes in the Coronado mountains every other Thursday
  • Special excursions every first and third Thursdays, such as visits to a coffee plantation, the rain forest,  or Volcano National Park
  • Guided tour of Coronado for new students on Mondays
  • Film on Mondays
Our Opinion

Coronado offers a lively cultural scene just waiting to be discovered due to its proximity to San José, its gothic cathedral, cultural institutions, and abundant cafes, restaurant and markets. Buses conveniently run every 20-30 minutes from Coronado to Costa Rica's capital city. Coronado is also a very safe, green, clean and friendly city, making it a very comfortable place for anyone to stay and study.
